Rampage: “That fight (Forrest vs Shogun) didn’t impress me much”

Rampage Jackson

A question and answer segment with current light heavyweight champion Rampage Jackson goes indepth about his time coaching for the 7th season of The Ultimate Fighter, what he feels about his last organization (Pride), and how his training is shaping up in preparation for his next title defense against fellow TUF coach Forrest Griffin.  Oh, and by the way - Rampage thought that Shogun’s girlfriend would’ve beat Forrest that night, so he wasn’t overly impressed with his victory.

I was there, but that fight didn’t impress me much. Shogun wasn’t the same.

I could tell something was up with Shogun, that he was hurt.

I think Shogun took the fight with Forrest because he needed it. I don’t think he should have taken the fight on such short notice

Mauricio “Shogun” Rua also happens to be the last person to beat Rampage back in 2005 during Pride’s “Total Elimination” event.  Check out the full article posted over at sportsline.
