Mmabay is reporting that former light heavyweight Champion Sean Sherk and top contender Tyson Griffin will be clashing in the next UFC event held in Birmingham England this October.

Mmabay has learned from a source inside the UFC that a match between lightweight contenders Sean Sherk and Tyson Griffin is being lined up for the next UK event on October 18th in Birmingham. This is one of a number of match ups being talked about, designed to give the event a much needed star name boost.

Sean Sherk (33-3) was stripped of the belt last year for testing positive for the steroid Nandrolone failed to reclaim his title losing to BJ Penn last May and Tyson Griffin (12-1) is riding on a 4 match winning streak and is also in the hunt for a title shot.
